One of the traditional activities of HPC teams is to benchmark new HW architectures. The main objective is to support decision making processes about future HW procurements. Usually, this process entails application (seismic and reservoir) tunning, and some times spark research on better exploitation of novel HW architectures. The task is now compound with the evaluation of Machine Learning (ML)-oriented applications and custom ML-oriented architectures. These topics are discussed in this work.
